Youth and Children's Choir

"Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him!!" Psalm 33:1

There are several choral programs offered for young people at Clarendon. Each one is a dynamic music education environment whose foundation is rooted in Christian principles and spiritual growth. Rehearsals are fun! Children and youth participate in festivals, service projects, liturgical dance, musicals, retreats, devotions, prayer, games and much more.

Preschoolers, kindergarteners and 1st graders are introduced to choir through the Sunday School program. They attend Cherub Choir as part of a rotation schedule that begins at 9:45am. Movement, games, bible stories and drama are the main components of this program. The Cherubs sing in church about once every two months.

Members of the Children's Choir are at a variety of music reading levels. These student hone their skills while working primarily on hymns and anthems. They perform in church about once a month.

The Youth Choir not only performs their own anthems but also provide wonderful mentoring opportunities when they combine with the younger children to sing or socialize together. More focus is brought to worship leading. They sing in church about once a month.

Every one of our choirs provides a unique environment where every student is loved and has value. They learn to share that same love with their peers, community and family. Music is the vehicle by which they strengthen their relationship with God, share quality time with their friends and nurture their self-esteem. Come join us!
