Thirty-sixth Annual Messiah Sing-Along
For 36 years, Dr. J. Reilly Lewis, organist and choir master at Clarendon United Methodist Church, has provided a bi-annual community Messiah Sing-Along at Christmas and Easter. This is believed to be one of the first and longest running Messiah-Sings presenting the complete oratorio in the DC area! Each Messiah-Sing features Dr. Lewis leading full orchestra, harpsichord, organ, guest soloists, and several hundred audience members! Part One of George Frederic Handel's Messiah is performed at Christmas; parts Two and Three are performed at Easter.
The program begins at 7:00 p.m. with a brief pre-concert recital. The Messiah-Sing begins at 7:30.
There is no admission charge for the performance; however, a $20.00 donation is suggested. The church is handicapped accessible and nursery care is provided.
